Pagan Serenity Prayer

I am not sure where the first time I heard this prayer but I say it a lot. It is very similar to this prayer God and Goddess Grant me   from an earlier blog post. This is the version I like most though. I have it printed and framed hanging in my house.

 

Yesterday's Head Covering

This is a Scarf that I bought for my daughter that she wears around her neck. Yesterday morning I got looking at loved the transition in colour so I asked if I could borrow it. LOL

Hush little baby

Sorry about no post yesterday I went apple picking with my daughter, sister and mom and was gone pretty much all day. So here is a lullaby I used to sing to my daughter.

Hush little baby, don't say a word,
Mama's going to show you a hummingbird.

If that hummingbird should fly,
Mama's going to show you the evening sky.

When the nighttime shadows fall,
Mama's going to hear the crickets call.

While their song drifts from afar,
Mama's going to search for a shooting star.

When that star has dropped from view,
Mama's going to read a book with you.

When that story has been read,
Mama's going to bring your warm bedspread.

If that quilt begins to wear,
Mama's going to find your teddy bear.

If that teddy bear won't hug,
Mama's going to catch you a lightning bug.

If that lightning bug won't glow,
Mama's going to play on her old banjo.

If that banjo's out of tune,
Mama's going to show you the harvest moon.

Not much to say about today's covering just that I have been doing it now for everyday for almost a month and feel naked with out a head covering on.

Prayer for Protection of Children

Oh Great God and Goddess

Protect my child as she goes through out her day

Send her strength to keep you with her,

Send her understanding, to understand herself,

and understand her peers.

Send her courage when she becomes afraid

Send her clarity to see which path she needs to take

Send her your protection to keep her safe on her journey, 

and always to watch out for her.
